The yellow bike

Just like in the Pan-African colors and the way I’ve plotted the route in the logo, my partner on this trip is yellow. Let me introduce her:

Thorn Nomad Mk2

I’m fortunate to live next to a great local bike shop called Veloform, where Anders Jansson has helped me build this excellent bike based on the Nomad frame from Thorn Cycles.

In short, it’s an expedition touring bike built on an oversized steel frame with 26-inch wheels and a Rohloff hub gear. These are the specs:

  • Rims: 26″ and 32 holes. Ryde Sputnik CSS in front and Ryde Andra 30 CSS back
  • Spokes: Sapim Race

  • Front-hub: Shimano 105 HB-5700
  • Brakes: Shimano Deore XT T780 V-brakes

  • Cranks: Sugino XD 170mm
  • Chainring: 38t
  • Sprocket: 16t
  • Chain: Wippermann Connex 7R8
  • Handlebar: Modolo Yuma Traveller
  • Headset: FSA Orbit XL II

    results. I’m sure that your low rankings are caused by high bounce rate.

    This is very important ranking factor. One of the
    biggest reason for high bounce rate is due to visitors hitting the back button. The higher
    your bounce rate the further down the search results your posts and pages will end up,
    so having reasonably low bounce rate is important for increasing your rankings naturally.
